Advocacy comes in many forms, from where to access resources/benefits and how to address discrimination issues, to working with a family member who needs assistance navigating the unknown with a newly-diagnosed loved one. Through partnerships with local behavioral health providers, we are able to suggest tailored referrals and resources that individuals and families would otherwise struggle to obtain. Information about our advocacy programs and resources follows.

- NAMI Berkshire County continues to be the driving force for bringing all local behavioral health providers to the table by hosting the annual Legislative Forum. The forum has educated the Berkshire Delegation of state legislators on issues central to mental health, addiction and suicide, and creates the avenue for providers to strengthen their relationships and build a stronger mental health community. We encourage you to keep the conversation going by contacting your local legislators about the importance of these programs to Berkshire County.
